Streaming lectures, Case Method, and Improved Organization to Make a Better Online Course

Dr. Andrew Czaplewski, Associate Professor in the College of Business sought out strategies to make appropriate use of new and existing technologies and strategies to make his Managing in Global Markets (INTB619) online course easier to follow and more organized. Andrew updated streaming lectures to make them more current and to incorporate more rich media. He incorporated streaming video clips related to the topic as the basis for his threaded discussion. He changed his method of evaluating cases using the Case Method approach and a detailed set of rubrics. He improved the course and module learning objectives to be more clear and better aligned with the content delivered in the course. The impact on students was greater clarity in expectations and more focused study of the course content to achieve the learning objectives.
